CIB Questions Nepali Congress Lawmaker Binod Chaudhary in Bansbari Land Scam

Kathmandu: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has begun its inquiry into the alleged misappropriation of land belonging to the Bansbari Leather and Shoe Factory, with Nepali Congress lawmaker Binod Chaudhary being questioned.
Today, the CIB took Chaudhary's statement after notifying Speaker Devraj Ghimire, via the Parliament Secretariat, about the investigation into Chaudhary's suspected involvement in the land misappropriation case.
CIB Chief Shyam Lal Gyawali confirmed that Chaudhary's statement is being recorded at the District Government Attorney's Office.
Gyawali further mentioned that Chaudhary is being questioned directly without being detained, as there is no indication of him fleeing or tampering with evidence.
